This Privacy Policy applies to the Contextual Kaiwa mobile application, the demo website, and related support communications. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information that is reasonably necessary to provide and improve the service.

• Usage and learning data, including lesson progress, favorites, annotations, language selection, theme preference, and related study settings.
• Purchase and entitlement data required to unlock paid content, restore purchases, and verify subscription or product access.
• Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us for support, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

3. How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve Contextual Kaiwa.
• To save preferences and learning progress across sessions.
• To verify, restore, and manage in-app purchases and entitlements.
• To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• To protect the security, integrity, and functionality of the service.

4. In-App Purchases and Payments

Payments for in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, receive, or store your full payment card number or other full payment credentials.

Contextual Kaiwa uses RevenueCat to help manage product entitlements, subscription status, and purchase restoration in supported native app environments.

5. Local Storage on Your Device

Some service data is stored locally on your device through browser storage, native device preferences, or similar device-based storage. This may include progress records, saved items, notes, and interface settings. Local storage helps the app remember your experience and resume where you left off.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information only as necessary to operate the service, including with service providers such as Apple for billing and RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain lawful business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support purchase restoration where applicable. Data stored only on your device may be removed when you clear app data or uninstall the app.

8. Your Choices

You may stop using the service at any time. You may also remove locally stored data by deleting the app or clearing applicable device storage. Some transaction-related records may continue to be maintained by Apple or RevenueCat to support billing history and restoration of purchases.

9. Children’s Privacy

Contextual Kaiwa is a language-learning product and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us and we will review the request.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps intended to protect information handled through the service. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. International Use

Your information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own, subject to applicable law and the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the service after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
